Ignore the Facebook culture attention-seeking and just learn to invest wisely. 

It has been a crazy experience as all I have known is living in the states so the culture shock was very overwhelming at first but now after being out here for a little over a year I have learned to accept it and keep pushing forward.

I am becoming worried about the huge cultural shift against landlords. 

I would start with a local school's market, find out what the housing culture is, when the rental season is, etc.

Great old local businesses that made up the thread of Austin's culture have gone out of business or been torn down to make way for high rises or large development projects. 

The center of arts, culture, nightlife, media, tech and finance that is coming back STRONG! 

I’m new to this process and trying to understand the business culture.

Besides that, you will want to find one with a good culture that matches your personality. 

We want to change the culture of the apartment building and the people who live there but are unsure if we can do that with all the old tenants still living there.  

That has been turned around post covid and with the new WFH culture.
