I do agree that the costs/annoyance of trying to fight with the homeowner after the fact for repayment would out weigh the small penalties.

It annoys me even to read these.....or you might have just one rental and too much time on your hands to enforce every little bit of your contract.

No point in sticking around, it'll only cause stress and annoyance, and they aren't going to help you in your real estate journey anyway.

Moving, especially within short time frames, has got to be annoying.

As others mentioned, really nothing costs under $50 so it seems like an annoyance clause at best.Something people forget is that one reason people rent is to avoid dealing with and paying for problems. 

As someone new to ownership/renovation, I see this as an opportunity to learn, but asking about every detail is obviously overkill and annoying for the tradespeople.

I'm any field there are annoying things that clients do constantly that seem like common sense to people in that field.

The only time I get annoyed is when someone completely ignores what I tell them and then makes me an insultingly low offer.

@Jay Hinrichs Joker brokers are annoying however what we struggle with is keeping the servicers in line with their accounting costs.
