I feel like the first option would likely occur, but I also feel like that's bad business for me and would be worried the renter would leave a bad review because of it, and thus possibly make it harder to rent.

Example a few weeks ago: got a "customized' postcard saying something like "Dear Andrew, we noticed you recently bought a property on 3455 Main Street - we have access to many properties just like this one, all over town.

Here's the message from RentRedi: "During a routine review, our payment processor came across a transaction that they must do additional verification on.There was a transaction (#20) under cardholder name XXXXXXX  (amount: XXXXXXX).As this cardholder name doesn't match the tenant name (XXXXXXXXXXXX), further information is required about the cardholder:- Lease agreement - Cardholder name:- Billing address:- Cardholder phone number:- How the cardholder is associated with the tenant:Once this information is provided, I will relay this to the payment processor for review."

I have no doubt @Carlo D. will be able to open the bank account he desires but when it comes so submitting loan applications the lender's underwriting team not only has to underwrite the property and review the borrowers PFS and personal information but also has to make sense of the ownership structure and who will be required to guarantee the loan.
