Jonah Geil Zoning violations - Multiple units in R5 zoned house, how common?

I know I can see permits on PortlandMaps, and I don't see anything that would signify a permit for restructuring a SFR into a triplex.I've seen many other triplexes and duplexes within the R5a zone, but they are correctly named as such in the Description field on PortlandMaps, leading me to believe they were permitted correctly with the city.Any help is appreciated!

I see them most frequently in a divorce situation where one spouse terminates any interest in the jointly-owned marital home and grants the receiving spouse full rights to the property.

Jerry is correct and a spouse may not be on the note, but they will be signing the deed of trust as they have a marital interest even if they are not on title, prudent lending and your state laws will be applicable.

Many windows condensate in the winter, which signifies humidity inside the home- but that doesn't make the walls grow mold- maybe just the window sill or frame- from being wet all the time.

You also have the option to close and keep a significant portion in escrow, to be used if you must evict. you can also threaten to walk. he should not be making his marital affairs, your problem.

In each of the last last two years the owner has spent $30,000 in repairs and maintenance which is significantly cutting into the profit margins but seems to signify that the property has a lot of differed maintenance issues that are finally coming into the light.
