Japan is going through a period of time right now where they are not even keeping up with the population due to fewer births.The average life expectancy came down in the most recent numbers for the first time in many years.

Best story was about twenty years ago when I sold a house in Atlanta for a guy who traveled to Japan all the time for his job.

I am currently living in Japan and have property managers for a quadplex in the Atlanta area.  

I was stationed in Japan, just days before 9/11.

Wish I could attend that conference, but I'll be in Japan starting Feb 24th!

:)Also I think we will end up like Japan and other countries and have to import labor from Asia. 

Being a foreigner living in Japan, I hear that it might be difficult to secure a loan until I can get a permanent residence visa.

Japan has opened up, but less than 200 visitors came from there so far. 

As an aside, Japan has 100 year mortgages which pass from one generation to the next.
