I was taught growing up that what I should do is find a good job, save as much money as I can in my 401k and never dream of touching that money tell I’m 65 and retire off into the sunset and enjoy my golden years ...::.

I was thinking if things hit the fan and needed to let the properties go then they couldnt touch your bank account, is that the case or why do you do that?

My experience from having bought a 1908 property, was it wasn't so much the knob and tube, and the 14 different DIY'ers who'd touched it in the meantime.  1  20Amp fuse, to cover kitchen and bath?
