@Duy Xuan Do, your logic makes sense on the house hacking front, but I would really encourage you to explore other types of rental strategies, such as mid term renting or rent by the room.

I will continue to look at Springfield and am also exploring Longmeadow and East Longmeadow as I hear that location may be better suited for mid-term rental or rent-by-the-room (CoLiving) arrangements.

It’s also valid exploring what JD said above, maybe approach the mortgage holder and see what it takes to separate it, get out of it.
