I built two that way and out of the 90 homes in Ivy Ridge estate if I think through it.

@Steve Vaughan  when we went through the 08 to 2010 debacle and over 200 landlords handed me back their houses.. and lost ALL their money... it was an eye opener and they were all landlords all west coast based   a few on east coast.but they walked..  

Theres someone living in the side that I will be occupying until the 1st of February, but since I JUST became the owner, would it make sense to reach out and ask them something like "Hey its __ the new owner, just checking in to see how you're doing.

Here's the problem: They are not a sustainable asset for most to own; they are difficult and costly assets to exit through a sale; if you achieve favorable refinances, you may be able to use those funds to buy other (hopefully better assets) but are now faced with operating highly leveraged bad assets. 

Sounds like an interesting project but I am sure there is more to the story.

The Idea is to create a new real estate asset class - the Room Condo. 

I do value her as a cleaner and she definitely goes the extra mile and are the eyes and ears on the ground for me.
