I'm just across the border.

It's a saying in SE michigan that 696 is the border between "rich get richer, poor get poorer".  

Mass as we're pretty close to the border and I understand RI may be a little more 'landlord' friendly (?)

In any case, she just told me the exact address and it's not as close to Ocala as she thought (she has never been to the property - bought it sight never seen) and it's in Citrus Springs (south part of 34433 near border to 34465).

Its a gamble sure but the historic return on the stock market is 8% a year. 

There are caveats (sewer is a big problem), but these F areas border A and B+ areas.

I live in Indiana (on the border of Ohio) and am looking to buy property in Ohio.

As far as gambling goes, I'd like to put myself in position to benefit from continually increasing rents, and not put myself on the other side of the table.

Even if you could, it's a big gamble.
