Hi @Jay Hinrichs, regarding Wenatchee, Chelan, and Leavenworth: All can be good markets for someone looking to align with tourism and destination-based economics, or looking for a growing small town vibe.I don't invest in those markets since they don't meet a few of my criteria.

One of the things that made the Riviera Maya one of the world's biggest tourism juggernauts is the ability to flight directly into Cancun and then drive to Playa del Carmen in less than an hour, and to Tulum in 2 hours.

This is not unique at all as there are many countries in the world where foreigners cannot own freehold and landed property except in certain circumstances and these countries include Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia, India, Switzerland, Vietnam, Korea, Japan etc. etc As a consequence in our situation we are NOT a condominium but are classed as an APARTMENT complex [REMOVED] and [REMOVED] (a different meaning in law) and as such we only do Leasehold but as previously explained we then give the Land Ownership Company to the owners themselves so they are leasing from themselves and become both the Lessor and Lessee, nothing could be safer!

If you're interested in investing in the panhandle, the better returns will be over in Destin (just to the west, I own one there), and then Panama City Beach to the east (the least luxury of the 3 areas, but the tourism numbers vs purchase prices are tough to beat!)
