Here's the issue: Airbnb is showing 14.3k search impressions between December 13th and today, whereas VRBO only shows 232 in the last 30 days.Is this level of search visibility normal, even for new listings, on VRBO, or could there be something potentially wrong with my listing on the platform?

You don't know what the house was like when he moved in and it has been 13 years, so some of the things you will find are part of normal wear and tear (eg if you need to replace carpet, repaint, etc) not damage that the tenant did.

Fire Dept arrives and garage door is melted, car is melted.Guests call us the next day and tell us the neighbors shot fireworks and hit the house and started the fire and we owe them for damages.We get 3 different camera angles from neighbors clearly showing everything.

The time spent meeting pest inspectors, home inspectors, roof inspectors, HVAC guys, septic inspections, any contractors for work that needs done, photographers (paid by selling agent) signs and other marketing, Omissions and Errors insurance, MLS fees, NAR/CAR fees, car insurance, gas, only to have a deal fall apart over something.

With interest rates going back to more normal levels (because the last 10 years they were super low) and me getting closer to when I plan on retiring, I am working on paying off my mortgages, so I have fewer expenses and more money coming in from the rentals...or if I want, I can sell them in 5 years without interest penalties.
