Ok, so, this may seem a little odd, but I was having a discussion with my mother about how you'd calculate your net worth with your real estate.

My mother is a realtor who is nearly 60, exercises regularly, but wouldn't stand a chance in any sort of hand-to-hand combat.

Next I would hope she would come to me (ASAP) and explain the situation with her mother and let me know she can not afford to remain on her own.  

I just bought a House that has a separate " Mother in Law " wing that is attached to the main house ( by the Roof Line only ).The same renter has been living in and renting this Mother in Law unit for almost 2 years now , at $500 per month. 

I have a seller selling his mothers 3/1 home in Amarillo, as is-needs some work-asking $50,000.

As a child I watched my mother buy renovate and sell property.  

One of my goals was to learn how to be in this business, and make my business work for me, as a woman and a mother.

My friends mother owned a software company that she sold to retire.

My mother has access to communication with the lawyer at hand and she is supportive of me.
