Micheal - I have helped over probably 50 house hackers in DFW at this point from BP.

I see a lot of owner occupant "house hackers" now instead getting a HELOC where they can pull some money out temporarily and then pay it back so the property still cash flows same as before once they repay.

I think many house hackers don't want to live there since they're not as nice as many of the NW side neighborhoods but if you're looking for something more affordable it makes sense.

I just assumed you had to be a big wig and not merely a house hacker to get any tax benefit.

Are there are any other experienced house hackers in the area as I am debating between purchasing a MFH and renting out each unit vs. purchasing a SFH and renting by the room.
