Just let them know you're interested whenever the time comes, and remain on good terms with them, so that they'd rather deal with you as opposed to a stranger.

The other factor is, I'm just not sure I want to have that "stranger" living in the same dwelling.  

As soon as strangers think that you have a lot of money, they will immediately  start to plan on how they can get their grubby little hands on some or all of it. 4 In my experiences, people don't care about how great you are, or how much your worth.

We have no plans of renting it out to "strangers". 

I think overcoming my discomfort with calling strangers will be one of the most important things I do in the beginning.

The worst that will happen is that some stranger will decline to accept it.

Have a reason to talk to strangers (your future competition), you need to learn the culture of the auction business.The problem with lots of folks getting in this business is that They don't know, what they don't know.

You're bringing an interesting background to the table, though I'm sure I'm biased as a Cardinals fan, and I'm sure you're no stranger to hard work.

They didn't sign up to host 2-3 strangers a week.
