@Gary Wilson On average, auctions probably carry the potential for bigger profits; They can also put you on the fast road to financial ruin if you make even one minor error in judgment!

hud contracts many times have errors on them that they give the agent 48 hours to correct or they have gotten a lot of contracts in that they must process it is not uncommon for delays these situati8ns would extend the orginal bid period

Then on the exit end of the deal, an investor pays $50k (net) for the house, spends $20k on repairs, and potentially profits (or holds equity) the remaining $30k (that also allows a margin for error in the rehab costs for bad estimates and/or surprises).
