For one agreed upon price, the builder will buy the land, prepare the land, build the house, insure the project themselves, and then once finished, turn the house over to me once I've paid off the balance.The question for anyone out there with some experience doing this in MN, which builders offer the best value and are the most reliable?

I hear that verification of employment salary is almost impossible from these companies and, if we as a landlord, call the company.Want to do credit check, eviction, criminal etc (as have kids on site and am only asking 1.5 month dep) and so many people are saying their reports came back clean but then they found out things after the rental went bad.Seems ridiculous that someone hasn't cornered the market with an honest reporting company with such an important requirement.Thx

If someone has a deal THAT good, in a market THIS competetive... it’s likely they have reliable financing relationship already well-established and the lender knows they’d be screwing themselves out of future business by screwing over a proven operator with an established track record.Are there anomalies?
