If I can buy outright 2 properties for just a bit more, then I don't have to be as involved, don't have to really be "on the look out" all the time for the best deals, and it would produce cash right now.

The later you file, the more of those random slots are filled.Now, if you do something stupid like omit income for which you received a 1099 or W-2 you will first get a notice that they amended your return for you and telling you how much you owe.
