At least this way, an escrow overage would come to you & the 1098’s at the end of the year come straight to you, but they still have to endorse that check 😐I have had the seller file the interest on their taxes & keep an overage check.

The check for the title company to her is not something you should worry about.When this kind of trust account is opened at a bank they normally tell you what the endorsement needs to say on checks.Some banks require a double endorsement but most just do it.For example if your was John Smith and the checks were simply in your name.Some banks require...John SmithJohn Smith TTEE ABC123 Trust dated 1,1,2016Other banks would simply let you put John Smith TTEEABC123 Trust dated 1,1,2016The real concern would be how would she show the title company she has control of the trust and can therefore transfer title.
