I have employee stock program that I contribute 4% to that lets me purchase stock twice a year at a 15% discount of the lowest stock price in the previous 6 months. 

If you want to help her just contribute some money to help pay her rent.

They are never reliable and will only contribute to your failure.

We make a point, when cold calling, to find ways to provide value to homeowners and come from a place of contribution.

Both ideas are intended to help veterans get the physical, mental, and emotional support they need to help them return to civilian life as happy and productive contributing member of society. 

If you feel that your contribution needs to be higher to have a nicer place, then do it as long as it doesn't take away from the return requirements you have set.

All of this would be contributing to a portfolio of experience that I could show potential investors and lenders on my own deals in the future.I feel like this might be my best shot at learning about this side of investing, on top of all the material I have read and listened to on the topic.
