Full disclosure: I lived on campus all 4 years and never rented where I went to school though probably 95% of the upperclassmen rented locally.My sibling attends a Californian university and rents a room in a duplex.

I love the team that I have in place, which is a major factor keeping my focus in the same geographical area.Going forward, I'd like to explore multifamily rentals and maybe expand to a second market such as North Florida or Central Arizona.I'd also like to get more involved in the real estate investing community in general and attend some meetings at a local REIA.I'd love to share any of my experiences if it helps someone.I look forward to being more involved as a member of the Bigger Pockets community. 

I'm looking forward to attending networking events and am seeking like minded friends, mentors or partners.

@Linda Weygant I heard this from another class I attend on "house hacking" but maybe I heard him wrong, which could be a possibly!

I also plan on attending two REI meetings this month in my area to hopefully network there but I wanted to try to get a handle and direction on this to be more prepared for my meeting on Saturday.Thank you everyone for your time in advance!

Next I would attend local REI clubs and try to speak to someone who has invested out of state successfully the way you are looking to do.
