You can argue I need a property management company and that I’m too lenient but this system is working for me.

Has anyone here used a turnkey company like Maverick and what was your experience?

I’ve heard about partnering with insurance companies for displaced families, working with military personnel in need of temporary housing, and possibly connecting with other organizations that require mid-term accommodations.I tried reaching out to GEICO about insurance-related housing needs, but they didn’t seem to have a clear process.Does anyone have experience with this niche?

Doesn't that help keep property taxes lower or the owner-occupants.If 5% of the properties are being bought by investment companies, that means 95% are not. 

Or find a property that is under-utilized or has below market rents.Otherwise, you could also do the OPPOSITE of the great advice from @Jonathan Greene and buy a property with multi-bed units or live in the larger unit and rent out the smaller unit - while getting a roommate(s).

That's just the max they will pay for rent plus utilities.

If so, what’s the purpose of that holding company, assuming anonymity is not a priority?

Make sure everyone knows a cleaning schedule, expectation for common areas, how are you splitting utilities, guest policy, etc.
