While most kids were watching Saturday morning cartoons, I was obsessing over This Old House and New Yankee Workshop every Saturday.

I just heard Chief Denney talk here in Las Vegas and was pitching a 2 day workshop on foreclosures, specifically REO's, more specifically purchasing REO's in bulk and selling them to us for 70 cents on the dollar.

The caveat, of course, is that BBB is a corporation and NOT an arm of any unit of government.Since the educational roster of Renatus is comprised of business people who contribute their time and expertise and do NOT get paid to teach or visit the communities for workshops, Renatus cannot be classified as "gurus".

I have given myself the next month to attend some networking sessions and workshops and really learn and absorb.

Last night I attended a build your life real estate workshop, and they gave a basic seminar.

I have looked online and haven't seen too many seminars or workshops in my area.

I too attended a 3 day workshop that gave me just enough information to know I need to move on Real Estate investing, yet, I also learned that the guru's are not as genuine as they might make themselves out to be. 

An online community college class, local university Continuing Education course, a RE specific organization that offers weekend workshops, or other? 

However you can most likely rent it out as a workshop/garage/artspace etc then give the tenants a non-written wink and a nod as to how they can use it.

For example, we've had a few mixers at The Wine Lab in Newport Beach and, last week, they had a "Beer and Brats" mixer in Anaheim (I couldn't make that one, darn it).There's also the Investor Workshops that meet up in Orange.
