Best fishing in the world (imho), I can garden year round, running on an empty beach is awesome, sunrise and sunset views and everyone is soooo much more relaxed than on the mainland.  

I met one 'lifer' in Korea who taught for 30 years and then built his own house in the Philippines and goes back and forth between the two countries, teaching about 6 months of the year, and then relaxing for the other 6 months.
