In addition badly corroded valves for the heating system and replacing the PVC vent pipes coming out of the fuel tanks to fireproof material.

It is installed and the place looks great.Given you are in a snow area, the tile may not be a good choice as tile doesn't self heat. 

We're in a heat wave right now - it's about 25 degrees outside! 

So no heat, no hot water.

When I bought the house there were a ton of burst pipes from not having the heat on.

If there is a facility, you will have a higher electric or heating bill....both to heat and cool the facility and to operate the units.  

I was thinking of getting one, house is 100 year old I would be putting it on and is oil heat.
