Congrats on your investment, Atwater Village is one of several areas I have done lots of deals in and know it pretty well.

Another way is to invest as an LP in apartment deals, but I would spend some time getting educated so you can recognize a good deal and a good operator vs one who has a proforma that is pure fiction or makes all their profits off of fees. 

Stowe Village - 6 Bedroom Short Term Rental Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

I once bought a small, vacant mobile home park and found out later that the village had all but outlawed mobile homes, and nobody had ever had the water billing shut off and I was going to be billed around $160 a month.

Areas like Old Town East, Southern Orchards, Merion Village, Hungarian Village, Franklin Park and others are great areas to get started!

Twocaveats; 1)centrally located, think Galleria / Bellaire/ Greenway /Rice Village 2) Informal, there will be no fancy  powerpoints, just don't have the extra cycles.
