So if it can do that, shouldn't it be able to be pointed to any website of your choice, search through groups/posts/etc and communicate with anyone who displays some kind of "intent" to sell, and if no intent is found, it could generate "curiousity" and help develop some curiousity from anyone in the group, and it could do this, until all possible efforts have been exhausted over time. 

We "do it ourselves", but we've got over 30 years of real estate lending and over 15 years of development experience.

@Patricia Andriolo-Bull you seem to be too nice which is making this harder than it has to be.  

It appears to me this was a well thought out move that will lead to the Morris's having a nice  life here in Portugal and all the investors left in his wake are for the most part very much out of luck or any hope of collecting on judgements. 

I'm about to use about that much to buy me a nice little 6 unit.

Then a nice flat lot.  

With your VA loan as @Johnny Lynum says, you could get a nice property for little down.

Go to etsy and search for "rental property tracker" and you will find hundreds of nice spreadsheets to track up to 20 rentals.

For most development, they are not a good use of the land, but if you can't develop that portion.

The 8 unit has been a nice long term unit and has potential for MTRs.
