Additionally they mandate certain requirements that need to be included in your LLC's operating agreement as well as they require modifications to your property management agreements that holds the pm liable for payment if I default. 

This was the result of a mortgage modification a few years ago when my industry was under attack by the previous administration.

(Side note: Permanent Loan Modifications are typically recorded.)

For example, I had a house last year that technically had no equity because the seller had done a loan modification and there was a 50k balloon payment due after the maturity date of his loan.

Is there anything that can be done about a deferred loan modification?

Are there any modifications to the written lease?

I just met with a couple contractors who are going to provide me bids on what they think a renovation would cost as an ADU vs going to a triplex and requiring those extra modifications to make them code compliant, so I could let you know what the difference is when I get those bids back.
