@Elizabeth Colegrove Thanks I want to buy the empire state building at this point, LOL, but I've been reading Unfair advantage by Robert Kiyosaki and there's no way for me to reach my goals with out partnering or learning the different ways of constantly acquiring in which case partnering is the only way I currently know. 

We have used the transient career of the military to building our "growing" business and what I some day hope to be my "empire" :). 

And we saw a little of this on the West coast as well.. back in the 07 to 2010... boarded up new construction in the central valley and inland empire.. projects in Vegas 1/4 started and stopped and still sitting there derelict...

If you can be certain to find a line between rows of nails, you could set your circular saw to (a shy)1/4"and cut a trench to allow you to get under the floor and pull it up.Around here it is very common in old houses (Second Empire, Queen Anne, etc) to have accumulated 3-4 layers of flooring over the years  - we renovated one two summers ago which had an original pine floor over the subfloor; two layers of hardwood above that and, in places, a layer of asphalt tile on top of the hardwood.  

I am just the spouse ;) we have done well turning this crazy lifestyle into a great place to build our "empire" through our transient lifestyle. 

Since most on this sight want an empire, quit worrying about reserves and get to buying properties.Dallas Cowboys to the Super Bowl!  

Build a rental empire.

Our short term goal is to build our "empire" up to the point where I can stay home and continue to grow it even though my income (the current funding source) isn't coming into.

This allows us to "build" other investment blocks while still working to our goal of an "real estate empire".
