Your pest guy walking the perimeter of the house spraying is not likely to enjoy having shingles dropped on him.  

We are currently spackling and filling holes in the walls, and will also rip off the baseboards and use spray to seal smoke from coming in under the drywall.Our popcorn ceiling contractor can start work in July, and my question is about timing.My wife, son and I could go in and wash all walls and do the Shellac BIN primer over the next few weeks, but it would then be sitting there without the ceilings done for 1-2 more weeks.

I've got them in probably 75% of my rentals and have never had one spray against the wall (they must be neutered or spayed).I don't allow dogs.

And I know when someone moves and the place is vacant when roaches migrate over to my rental when exterminators come, and start spraying.

Have a couple good coats of latex paint sprayed on it, which makes it look better and keeps it from flaking. 

After they replace it, spray some bleach on the mold and you are good.

Water spraying on 240volts is never good !

How did you/your contractors prep the kitchen cabinets before spraying?
