I would like to collaborate in one, but most clubs in the area are just profit centers living off people's dreams.

I'm in the process of starting a REO investment club where many investors will collaborate to become like the bank and financed people without the headaches.

Drop box is cool, but I gravitated towards Google docs because of the way you're able to share and collaborate in real time, and the threaded comment feature.I'm also a very visual person, so I got creative with the formatting to have cells change color if I missed an appointment, or prompt me to make a new appointment.I still use this for all of my RE leads, but when this new marketing business sprung up under my feet, I had to find something different.

It also helps to have an unbiased building/energy consultant (ahem, like me) rather than individual HVAC installers or contractors (who are trying to milk as much $ from you as possible) to help prioritize energy renovations.

What are some good options that will build trust and collaboration over time?

I think I'm the typical example of someone in my industry who has spent too much time being an employee rather than prioritizing the the effort to be my own boss.I'm looking forward to learning more from you all here and hoping to contribute anything that I can.My personal interests other than real estate are cycling, travel, and watches!

That way you can learn from other investors and collaborate as well as not having too many expenses to upkeep your license.
