I lent money to the corp. to buy those houses and the corp. is supposed to reimburse me 5% of what I lended every year (to get my money back in 20 years if I am still alive...).The problem is that the corp. is of course unable to give me back money for now ; it’s not that much for me but it is for my children who carry that debt (declared to the french tax administration).

Check with your TSP administrator to see if you can withdraw the funds (even with penalty), and then deposit some or all of the funds back within 60 days to avoid the penalty.

The administrator (or whatever it's called in GA when there is no will) controls the assets of the property while it's in probate and/or before it's distributed to the heirs.

The problem is that the administrative overhead is complex and those are not always the best vehicle for non-traditional investments.In the Solo 401k format, plan administration is greatly simplified, since you are not managing anyone else's retirement savings.
