Hello,My wife is a graduate student who received a surplus from her student loan.

Student loans?

However, I'm currently a graduate student in IL, and have loans that don't have monthly payments being reported because they're in deferment.

I have 1 student loan at $7,500 and owe $3,500 on the car.

Since i don't need to rely on steady income as a student i feel my situation is a bit different.What are my options for learning as much as i can about the career while still attending University?

Our family's goals are to pay off our consumer/student loan debts and have enough cash flow that I can cut back my hours (maybe to 0 hours) and travel full time in our travel trailer for a few years and then maybe go back to work but probably not.

Be conservative with this....student loans suck!

I am currently a fifth year (5/5) Mechanical Engineering student at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, I have recently accepted a full time job offer as a Mechanical Engineer at a chemical company located in Deer Park, TX with a start date in July 2019. 

You have to be willing to accept 99.9% negativity if you are easily offended stay out of this profession.

While Hawaii didn't work out, i've since lost 90lbs, converted to Catholicism, found somewhat enjoyable full time employment that lets me put in a generous amount of overtime (Last week I worked 65 hours and on average 55+ hours a week, I haven't had a day off in months), started to tackle overwhelming student loan debt, volunteer, well...you get the idea.
