Just yesterday I actually saw a fundraiser for a new tiny home development to help the homeless. 

In Texas, I can literally hand a piece a paper with the information to a homeless person on the street and have them represent me

We have plenty of homeless already living that dream!

For example, to qualify a tenant must:Have used their best efforts to obtain government assistance for housingAre unable to pay their full rent due to a substantial loss of incomeAre making their best efforts to make timely partial payments of rent, andWould become homeless or have to move into a shared living setting if they were to be evicted."

Maybe the building is not secured, allowing kids and homeless folks access?

What a great point you make....not.Please explain the compassion the government is giving landlords who are expected to eat this loss so that it does not become a government problem of increased homelessness?

There's a large homeless encampment right down the street.

Soooo,  Is there anything that gives a landlord a financial incentive to 'donate' a rental for a period of time to those left homeless due to tornado, flood, etc.?

Hi, I am working with a  nonprofit organization which is working to help finding housing for those impacted by homelessness. 

I am homeless at the moment jumping from place to place trying to get this house but she is the only one stopping me.
