I always find it fascinating what other people's goals are as they are usually very specific and personal in nature as they relate to everyone differently. 

I have always been fascinated by the stock market and took it upon myself to start a brokerage account the day I turned 18.

I am always fascinated with RE/  AND ALL THE POTIENTAL WAYS to make money.

Let's just see what happens in Greece and after that...For a new investor who is investing to make a little money on the side will probably find the "theory" on gold/silver/... a lot easier to learn and understand than all the different parts of a real estate deal.

Hi I'm examining 2 geographies (Greece & UK) for a real estate investment.

It would be very difficult for him to make the transition to almost any sort of self-managing here in the States.I have another friend who owns and self-manages a couple of A-B class long-term apartments in Athens, Greece.
