Although I don't think the wholesaler should've split the cost with you because it's not their job to do your due diligence for you, I do think think that there is a chance they are in cahoots with that contractor and are selling 'fake deals' to other newer investors and by not outing them they'll get away with it.

There's a huge marine base there and could show promise for real estate investors there. 

Under promising and over-delivering is the keystone of this company and is why they have so many repeat customers. 

Some believe they send fake leads to get paid for them and then withdraw from the contractor.

It is always better to under promise and over preform for future business relationships. 

And to promote it, they promised the 1st five properties they auction off they promise not to set a reserve price, or bid on it themselves.

No numbers, no deal, end of story.I bet buy and hold in promising in Twin with a strong rental market and influx of jobs.
