Only when Rich eased up and started back to traveling was I able to catch him.Both Jon Holdman and Will Barnard are highly active, and well respected among the membership; I don't think I'll be passing either of them unless they just stop participating.Being ranked in the top 10 is nothing to be ashamed of :cool: ... and it's certainly better than being in the bottom 10.

If so, I highly recommend that once you are under contract for your STR, search the address on Airbnb and locate other rentals in the same neighborhood - and simply contact those Hosts and ask for local contacts in attempt to keep the money circulating among the local businesses. 

I am thinking as long as I am confident my property will stand out among the rest, I will be okay. 

@Jay Hinrichs yes we did have to do a public report, among the rest of the mountain of paperwork involved with a subdivision.

But if you look at counties rather than cities, San Diego is not among the giants.  

It ends up a gamble if your legal cost, trouble, and loss of reputation among the neighbors would out-weigh the benefit.

As what is being pointed out here is common practice among the various state jurisdictions is going to vary.
