This is not a pessimistic, fear-driven, or negative approach.

My main fear is expanding too quickly and if I have a vacancy or something unexpected with one of the properties I don't want to be sitting on multiple mortgages I can't pay.

They fear that you are going to lose a lot of money or time.  

I've never had to do any marketing to stay plenty full so I've never bothered with this.trashing the unit is my biggest fear along with my neighbors hating me..

Yeah the only thing I fear is I will need to have either more net worth or some one else to carry the funds for me.

Covid fears and mandates that do not hold the weight of any law, are issues that slow or reduce vacations.

Don't let fear take over, or else you will never grow or learn from your mistakes.

My family has been very patient with the land not having been sold yet, and they do not want much longer to sell the land though because they fear that the market will get cold and then it will be harder again to sell the land. 

Plus there are several companies that prey on this fear to sell what in my opinion is unneeded "protection" from this bogeyman. 

I fear that some of my list is not included and possibly most of my list and that you will be paying significantly more than 8%.
