I'm sure a lake house does solid year-round there with your knowledge combined. 

But, if the cost is fairly nominal, maybe under a couple grand, and you have no experience in real estate, including owning your own home and hiring contractors for that, then it is likely worth it.I would always start with a deep assessment of where you feel you don't have adequate knowledge.

However, in both associations, if they provided incorrect information that you relied on the purchase the unit, I believe the statute should protect you.As far as the title insurer's denial, title insurance acts retrospectively, that is from the Date of Policy back in time and from the information you provided, as of today your title is as insured and there is no defect or cloud on your title.

Rates/pricing has to play a part of course, BUT knowledge and responsiveness is actually more important. and to answer your second question, well, look at my last sentence for the answer.
