Another weirdness that you may or may not face...many of the homes were continually having big wet spots appear in/on the slabs, hundreds of people, were calling leak detection services, thinking an underground plumbing leak was causing these mystery wet spots.

Even if you can prove damages, which there doesn't appear to be any, you would need to prove that the manager lied about the floor plan.

Granted, there are many states that do not allow deficiency balances (Like California) but there are as many that do and selling for below market, or selling to someone directly, giving the appearance of selling below market would be a great baseline for a lawsuit by the previous owner.
