They also might be in areas with higher crime rates so home and car break ins, property damage like graffiti, etc. more common.1 and 2 are tied together and can create a death spiral.

However, we would normally see a "Wage Inflation Spiral" which means that as prices increase, you would ask your boss for a raise to compensate, but then the fact that you are spending makes prices rise again, which then means you ask for another raise to compensate again..... and so the Feds raise interest rates to combat rising inflation.Amoung prices that are rising, will be Rents.
