rich23s, Home Depot sells a product, it comes in a roll, its orange in color, its flexable plastic, it has little squares imbossed in it.....Sorry I cant rmember the name, but its in the tile and flooring area, ITS slick, put your floor prep down, lay the orange membrane over that, let it cure, come back tomorrow, lay mastic and lay tile.

Make sure you waterproof correctly with a liquid membrane or sheet membrane at the tub and showers. 

Make sure you use the separation membrane under the tile.

Just curious if anyone has used any of the membrane Products on the market as opposed to Backerboard or mud beds for tile floors.

We finally had a roofing contractor put a membrane roof on it.

If you wanted to tile the floor, you can get a trowel-on "membrane" called "red guard" at the depot - it'll block moisture & prevent cracks in your new tile..

At some point in the next few 1-3 need roof will need full replacement ( flat roof with alligatoring all over it, patches all over the place and you can start to see the Fiberglass membrane, underneath) Not Good!

My guess is that there is a rubber membrane on top of the roof that has failed that has allowed water to enter and cause rot and possibly termites.

You could also ask for a base layer of ISO to provide extra R-value-Install new fully adhered 60mil EPDM roof membrane.
