So their plan is follow Hawaii’s “protect the homeowners plan:  how did that work out?

Tenants fool with you and they will end up in the Barrio.. in my court house steps days these were not tenants these were very pissed off homeowners who just lost thier home.. completely different their credit is already trashed etc..

The moral of this story is to have good home owners insurance!

My personal experience tells me home owners in foreclosure are in complete denial and will try their best to dig themselves in as deep as they can.

Stability: Homeowners tend to stay in their homes longer than renters, which can create a more stable environment for families and children.

  @Steve Graves: It definitely is discouraging that the ultimate roadblock is there while home owners are footing all the legwork, money, time, investment and assuming all the risk.
