We need more compassionate and well-run elder care facilities in this country.

To reply to the comments on what I said about "treat it like a business" I wasnt saying not to be compassionate or understanding BUT when it comes to something criminal ask yourself "would I live next to this guy" especially for the people that have young children.

We found that tenants appreciated that we were not just asking them to vacate but working to help them find something within their price range.Bottom line though- If you can't make your cash flow number with the current rents and it's possible to get higher rent you should do what's required compassionately.

You can be fair, considerate, compassionate, and hold steady to the lease terms.  

But I also know that "life" can happen to people so I try to be compassionate.

I actually enjoy getting by on the least amount possible, maybe a symptom of the recession, my Father told me thats how my Grandad (God rest his soul) and most people lived after the depression which is why all of the depression era's children and grandchildren .... our parents (baby boomers) are, for the most part, financially stable.I implore each of you to be mindful, considerate and compassionate of how you think, what you say, who you say it too and were you say it at.
