More and more builders are tending towards just construction, and there are fewer regional builders entitling their own projects so having a product for them to buy is worthwhile. 

So you may actually be able to make more money with much less effort if you did convert this to a long term rental.I am very active in the market here in helping people from out of state buy and sell condos.

You can still buy houses in small farm towns in MN for $25k.
