I've only invested in STRs and was looking to get into small multi-family but haven't seen anything that made sense in any of the markets I invest in so was curious where people were seeing good opportunities.  

Would love to connect with anyone that has a lot of experience with how to navigate these foundation issues and how you succesfully invest in DFW real estate depsite this issue Some people are not phased by the foundation issues, others are. 

I do know of the physician loans, I am also a veteran so I have the VA loan, and I was also looking at the FHA loans, but can anyone give me any insight that will help me get into a multi family with the salary situation I’m in?

These are the types of properties I'm now targeting.I'd imagine the biggest challenge you'll run into is finding multi unit properties.

Has anyone have any experience acquiring multifamily property using a SBA loan like to get your thoughts?

I would say you should start off by just meeting multi-family investor-friendly agents who can help get you started with 5 units search and work on finding you off-market ones as well Thanks Kerlous!

But in my opinion, the biggest issue I see with folks jumping into their first "big" multifamily deal is the quality of the pro forma. 

I'm interested to know if anybody is currently unloading their portfolios of SFR as our multi family?

I'm looking to exchange a multi-use property I own in the Bay Area for a multifamily property (expected sales price $3 million) that I could potentially convert to MTR.
