It has taken the better part of a year to gain traction but we are now consistently getting booked each weekend and getting more and more weekday guests so we are making progress towards our end goal (still have some more to accomplish before we reach that goal). 

We launched this year and traction is growing.

Most of the institutional wholesalers start in an area, gain some traction, set up shop in another market, and organically try to grow market by market.

If so, how long will it take to gain serious traction?

@Amanda Thompson Our default approach in your situation is an open and honest conversation...in person if possible...if you cannot gain traction on parting ways, offer cash for keys...we start with $500 cash in their hand on the day they are out and the unit is in acceptable condition.

But it is not getting any traction due to unfinished work needing done.

But you are unlikely to get as much traction as you will on Airbnb. 

If you have connections to the family you might have an avenue to inquire about what might happen to the house, but otherwise don’t expect to have much traction as an outsider.  

And it's strange because the traction has been minimal.

Looks like you have the traction now to increase revenue.
