The house was just super clean in that it was newly painted, new flooring, 3 bed/2ba, in a good neighborhood, brick exterior (durable) and priced at 200K  so I was quick on the buy.

I have had the same laminate in rentals for 8+ years now and it still looks great (and it was the cheap stuff).Here is what I do....If there is clean concrete sub-floor (no adhesive) then I have the concrete stained and sealed (looks amazing and its very durable).The there is concrete sub-floor that cannot be stained then I lay tile.
