That meant that if deposits slowed, the bank would need much more short-term liquidity than a typical institution.Knowing that in a worst case the bulk of your deposit base of $200B could go away in 1-2 years, putting all your eggs in even a mid-term HTM bucket doesn't make sense to me.That said, I'm not pretending to be an expert here.
