I understand you're just checking to see what other criteria people may be using, but it's a risk to change your criteria in the middle of the process AND you've posted it on BP which makes it public knowledge now.

You can put one staircase up the middle which would make sense if you were in snow country but you are not. 

It's likely that they will have no equity in the home, especially if we are in the middle of a recession and their original 15 or 20% deposit has been eaten up by market depressions. 

I don't make it to the city all that much but I am sure we could find a middle ground if it made sense for us to connect. 

A middle-aged man can make sound financial decisions, live a financially responsible life, and get hit with a catastrophe that crushes him.I just don't believe that the majority of bankruptcies fall into that category.
