Visit ask questions get lost and grab lunch at some hole in the wall.This way when you get mugged two blocks from the property leaving a liquor store because you can't find anything else... you'll have saved yourself from buying something that looked fantastic on paper.On a slightly more serious note...the realtor will make you feel like you're a deal on a good house and you'll be pumped.The inspection will make you feel like you're buying the biggest money pit you've ever seen.

Thanks to a few meet ups and the fantastic podcasts/webinars on BP, we're "all in" these days for real estate to be a major wealth generating opportunity for us long term.Thus far, we've been VERY fortunate with our renters, because we spend quite a bit of time vetting them to the very best of our ability.

@Susan Grayson, REI is a fantastic vehicle to financial freedom, but new investors should understand the game a little more before tackling complicated projects.I wish you do well in REI, and learn as much as you can from small-simple properties before placing a large sum of money on bigger projects.Best wishes
